Yankee Stadium Tribute to Eddie Layton /Bob Sheppard

I seen this youtube video and wanted to comment how great it is . I grew up in NY and went to a ton of Yankee games . I remember my first time to Yankee stadium and walking thru the tunnel to sit at my seat . The players seemed bigger then life to me being a kid and all . I remember Eddie Layton and the sound of the organ as you sat back and listened to his set before the game . There was nothing like that . It gave you goose bumps and the feeling was electric . Yankee Stadium is much different today without Eddie and soon Bob Sheppard won’t be around . Things just are not the same as they were . Things are still good don’t get me wrong but the time has passed .

Microsoft Test 70-292 MCSA 2003

Hi Folks ,

Well I finally passed this Microsoft test after 3 times failing . I’m not ashamed to admit it either because a lot of people failed this one . They were supposed to retire this test along with 70-296 but they extended it until May (I think ) .

By the forth time I was like if I pass I pass whatever . The last time I didn’t even study one bit . I managed to get  a 775 .

So some pointers if you have failed a bunch of times and are trying to pass before the deadline . Do not beat yourself up over the test . Its very tough on technical stuff but also tough on points (its weighted heavily ) So what I would do is take it very relaxed . Use Microsoft’s second chance .

Do know your DNS like the back of your hand . That will give you a good chance to pass but know everything else as well SUS ,Terminal Services , Certificates ,active directory .They do not give you much of a margin so know that going in . Try not to take it personl which I did the first few times . I thought I had passed all three times only to find out I was not even close .

700 to pass 40 questions . The earlier version of the test was 50 questions and much easier . Lucky Us right ?

Just relax and you will do it . I’m sure .

Thanks

Chris

Something Else to Talk About (Upgrading the PS3 Hard drive )

Hi Folks ,

I had gotten recently a PS3 with a 40 GB had drive and decided to get a 250 GB drive to replace it  . I got a Samsung (the same Hard drive PS3’s come with ) 250GB 5400 2.5 drive . It was very easy replacing the hard drive . If you do a search on Google you will find multiple sites . Even Youtube has some videos on it . So I’m not going to get into it . What I wanted to explain is 2 things :

I think they re-engineered the PS3 because my PS3 Hard drive slides straight in as apposed to Sideways like earlier models . Also the screws were a pain to unscrew (if you have the wrong tools you need precision tools Philips ) .

Now for the part that  took me a long time to find out . So I replaced the Drive booted up expecting to format the drive but got an error stating that the system needed 2.20 Firmware (Software to load ) . I originally thought I had a bad drive and most people might think the same . No matter how you slice it …it looked as though I was stuck . I searched the Internet to find out if anyone else ran into this problem . One person I found had so here is what you need to do .

After replacing the Hard drive plug in a Flash drive with the 2.20 update on it but create the following file structure on the flash drive .

PS3>Update>(Your 2.20 firmware upgrade file ) . Remember that your flash drive has to be FAT32 .

When you boot up the system it will say it cannot start unless you reformat with the 2.20 software and it tells you to press the 2 middle buttons on he controller (Start and the other one forgot the name ) simultaneously. It will then look at the flash drive and proceed to format your new hard drive and you will good to go .

Hope this helps someone .

Chris
